Cache Pal

An offline-first virtual-pet world of creature care, discovery, battles, breeding, and minigames. Plays in the browser and installs as an app, with native Wear OS and watchOS companions in development.

Cache Pal on a desktop browser: Seam, a Common Tide Glitchfin hatched from the phrase “the3dcoder”, stands as pixel art against a dusk landscape, beside care meters and Feed, Play, Clean, Teach and Tuck in buttons.

What it is

Cache Pal is a virtual pet that lives in your browser. Hatch a creature from any phrase (the same phrase always hatches the same Pal), raise it, battle, breed Pals whose offspring inherit real genetics, and play minigames. It works offline, with no account and no tracking. Pals age, and they can die.

The Barn is the optional online home for keepers: cloud backups, official attestation, and leaderboards.

How it is built

The game is a Blazor WebAssembly app on .NET 10 that installs as a PWA and keeps every Pal in the browser’s own storage, so every part of play works with no network at all. Each Pal’s pixel sprite is recolored from its DNA, and new species arrive as signed content drops instead of app updates.

Where it stands

Cache Pal is free to play at cachepal.com. Native Wear OS and watchOS companions are in development; there is no watch-store release yet.
