First, I'm a father and a husband. Everything I build is that creative drive put to work: taking care of my family, and helping people who have less than we do.

What I love is architecting software, inventing, and designing: taking an idea from a thought to a finished product on my own effort, and teaching myself whatever it needs along the way.

It started in early high school with basic programs, then custom plugins and scripts for online games, around 2002 to 2006. It never stopped: I'm still building whatever grabs my interest, sometimes over a single weekend. Big Bwain LLC is the brand I put all of it under.

I publish apps on Google Play and the App Store (five on Google Play, four of them also on the App Store), browser games and web experiments, open-source tools, and 3D designs and prints. Big Bwain LLC ↗ (external) , the company I founded and own, currently owns, operates, and produces that catalog. AI-assisted development has dramatically increased my own throughput.

Some of it starts with a gap. When the Huion Keydial Mini had no useful way to configure it on Linux, I wrote Keydial Commander, a driver and configuration app for it. I also rebuilt Adventure Cache, a geocaching app, from Xamarin.Forms into a single .NET MAUI project while preserving its store identity and offline-first field workflows. Running my own print shop is how the 3DCDesign app started.

On the physical side, I've made hundreds of designs, covering model railroading, functional tools, device mounts, and maker accessories, and the published ones have been downloaded more than 150,000 times across platforms. Selected designs have sold both as downloadable files and as finished physical prints.

The catalog covers geocaching (Adventure Cache and the 3DCDesign shop's geocache containers), model railroading (the Cults3D designs), fitness (Your Whey Fitness), and games like Doodle Bluff and Cache Pal. the3dcoder is the handle I use across competitive bodybuilding, 3D printing, and code, which is why a workout tracker sits in the same catalog as a Linux driver. Earl's Trains ↗ (external) is the archive I built for my dad's more than sixty years of O-gauge layouts.

I'd rather build a game than play one, but group games with friends are still one of my favorite things. I miss the CRT days: towers crammed into a small room, everything overheating, and Counter-Strike 1.5 and 1.6.
