Earl's Trains

A family archive website for a lifelong O-gauge layout builder: more than sixty years of layouts, rail outings, photography, and films.

The live Earl’s Trains archive homepage, with O-gauge railway photography and the layout archive.

A lifetime of making, organized for visitors

Earl’s Trains is a family archive for an O-gauge layout builder. It brings together more than sixty years of layouts, rail outings, photographs, and films, with the builder’s own authorship retained on the public site.

Browse by exhibit and year

Layouts and rail outings are presented as exhibits rather than one long media folder. Year groupings show a layout growing from bare benchwork into a working miniature world. Photography and films keep the making process beside the finished scenes.

The website is the product

The project demonstrates another part of the studio’s range: turning a large personal archive into a coherent public browsing experience. The archive is live at earlstrains.com; it is a website, not a storefront or app-store release.
