Software, experiments, and things I make.
I'm Earl Hayes, a software engineer who makes apps, browser games, open-source tools, websites, and 3D designs and prints.
Each card shows where a project stands and, if it's public, links straight to it.

Three gem-cutting puzzle games, playable in the browser; the original Android release is on Google Play.

Local-first collectible card app — every card starts from a moment, signal, prompt, or scan.
-
Cacheboard
A private, local-first workbench for running AI coding agents across a solo software portfolio: which account has capacity, what to work on next, and whether a task can be delegated and reviewed safely.
-
Earl's Trains — earlstrains.com (external)
A family archive website for a lifelong O-gauge layout builder: more than sixty years of layouts, rail outings, photography, and films.
-
Guidlands — Project status (external)
A pixel-art browser world in development, built for players to explore varied terrain, encounter creatures, and help discover the realm. Its public servers are currently offline.
-
Wordsracer — Play free (external)
Two word games in one place: guess the five-letter word in Arena, solo or racing friends, or find the words hidden in a tray of letters in Word Garden.
Nothing matches that filter. Show all work.

A controller mount that prints without supports
Why my most popular design is also one of my simplest: one piece, no supports, and a fit that works for almost any controller.

Making the Huion Keydial Mini K20 work on Linux
The K20 had no Linux support, so I wrote a driver and a visual editor for it: all 18 keys and the dial, over Bluetooth or USB, with no root at runtime.
Now building: Doodle Bluff's free beta and Cache Pal's Wear OS and watchOS companions. About the maker
